I was very fortunate to receive an invite from George Shuang from UDN Group and Terry Laughlin to provide a 2hr swim clinic at Taipei American School on Thursday 29th March. It's very difficult to get Terry to be personally at one of his Total Immersion workshops let alone offer one at Taipei American School where I work.
For those of you who don't know Terry Laughlin, he formed Total Immersion Swimming Inc. back in 1989. He has promoted his swim teaching and coaching style on "swimming like a fish" or "swimming made easy". His first book was "The Swimmers' Bible" in 1991 and recently released "Extraordinary Swimming For Everybody" 2006. He was in Taiwan to release this latest book in Mandarin. UDN Group have spent many hours translating the book for those who read Mandarin to learn how to swim like a fish. He is not bad in the water either; claiming his first US National Long distance swim title and 2 records last year.
Terry provides Total Immersion workshops all around the world to Swimmers, Triathletes, Navy Seals, Coast Guard rescue swimmers and even Air Force Parajumpers. He makes appearances at Ironman races and swimming events.

A huge thank you to George and Terry for providing a fantastic experience for our swimmers, triathletes and coaches. Thanks to Joe McDougall for the photos.
