Three of Asia's Top National Triathlon Coaches have recorded excellent results in recent weeks. Jan Rehula (South Korea National Coach and 2000 Olympic bronze medalist) finished 4th at the ITU World long Distance Triathlon champs in Perth Australia yesterday. Rehula also recently won the Ironman 70.3 Putrajaya, Malaysia. In yesterdays race Rehula was in contention until late in the run, staying with the leaders out of the 3km swim and the entire 80km cycle. Also competing in yesterday's race as an elite competitor was Kevin Clark (Hong Kong National Coach) who finished 21st in only his second race as an elite after a few years hiatus. Clark used to compete for Great Britain on the ITU circuit from 2002-2005 and also finished 15th in the Asia ITU Long Distance Champs in Korea in June 2009. Another top coach from Korea has also been racing well this year. Park Byung Hoon (K-Swiss), is the number 1 Ironman athlete in Asia. he finished 4th pro male at both Ironman's China and Japan in 2009. Park just competed in his first Ironman World Championships as a professional in Kona. He didn't have one of his best days, with a slow run. But he is an Ironman.
